March 2005:
M&A Congratulates New York Jets on Stadium Success!

McLaughlin & Associates would like to congratulate our client, the New York Jets, on their winning bid to develop the site for their proposed new stadium on the West Side of Manhattan.

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) Board unanimously voted today, March 31, in favor of the Jets' offer for the rights to develop the site adjoining the Hudson River.

McLaughlin & Associates has conducted numerous research studies regarding the stadium on behalf of the Jets. The Jets Development Plan will revitalize the West Side of Manhattan, expand the Jacob Javits Center, create thousands of temporary and permanent jobs, and provide millions of dollars in additional tax revenue to the city.

The Jets' proposal for the 75,000-seat stadium is backed by the city and state, is crucial to New York's bid to host the 2012 Summer Olympics, and will allow the Jets, who currently play their home games at Giants Stadium in New Jersey, to come back home to New York.
