McLaughlin & Associates is happy to offer congratulations to our client, Yonkers Deputy Mayor Phil Amicone , on his upset victory in the Republican primary election for mayor of Yonkers, NY, against State Assemblyman Mike Spano. Amicone came away with 43% of the vote to Spano's 38%, with City Council president Vincenza Restiano drawing 19%. Deputy Mayor Amicone will be facing former schools superintendent Joe L. Farmer (D) in November's general election. Congratulations also go out to our client, Utica Mayor Tim Julian, on his victory in the Republican mayoral primary in Utica, NY, against former mayor Louis LaPolla. Mayor Julian garnered 68% of the vote among Utica Republicans, to 32% for former mayor LaPolla.
