July 2000: John McLaughlin & Associates Congratulates Our Winning Candidates from the July 18 Georgia Republican Primaries! Congratulations to Jerry Keen, who won with 56% of the vote in a three-way Republican primary election for Georgia's 174 House District. Keen avoided a runoff by capturing more than 50% of the vote, and beat his closest opponent by 29 points (Keen's opponents received 27% and 17%, respectively). Keen is a former strategist for the Steve Forbes 2000 campaign for President. Jerry Keen will be Georgia's next 174 House District Representative, as he is running unopposed in the general election. Congratulations also to Sunny Warren, who won with an overwhelming 68% of the vote in Georgia's Republican Congressional primary in the 4th District. Sunny Warren is now in a good position to challenge incumbent Cynthia McKinney this November. With such a decisive primary victory, Warren is a candidate who gives the Georgia voters a strong Republican choice in the district.
