Congratulations to Congressman David McIntosh, who won with an overwhelming 72% of the vote in Indiana's Republican gubernatorial primary, and is now well-positioned to win in his challenge to Democratic governor Frank O'Bannon in the Indiana November election.

Congratulations to former Charlotte mayor Richard Vinroot for winning the Republican nomination for Governor in North Carolina in a hard-fought Republican primary. Vinroot won with 45% of the Republican vote in a four-way race. He received well over 40%, which means there will be no run-off. Vinroot is now in a strong position to win the open gubernatorial election in November.
