John McLaughlin
CEO and Partner

John McLaughlin has worked professionally as a strategic consultant
and pollster for over 30 years. During this time he has earned a reputation for
helping some of America’s most successful corporations and winning some of the
toughest elections in the nation. His political clients have included former
Presidential candidates Steve Forbes and Fred Thompson, former California
Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, Georgia Governor Nathan Deal and 22 current and
former U.S. Senators and 23 current members of Congress - including working
with House Majority Leader Eric Cantor to help him win a majority in Congress.
John also has done extensive market research and consulting for non-profit and
corporate clients. His clients have included National Review Institute Verizon
FiOS, American Conservative Union, Secure America Now, Smithfield Foods, CTIA –
The Wireless Association, The Latino Coalition, The Media Research Center, The
National Association of Manufacturers, The National Citizens Coalition
(Canada), OneJerusalem.org, US Term Limits, The New York Jets, The Ronald S.

He is founding partner of Opiniones Latinas, a public opinion research
company dedicated to researching opinions of Latinos nationwide. John has
appeared on every major broadcast and cable channel, as well as prominent radio
talk shows across America. His articles have been published in a wide range of
publications including National Review, Middle East Quarterly, Campaigns and
Elections, and The Polling Report.
His work has been recognized by winning Telly and PR Week Campaign
Awards.
John is a graduate of Fordham College (B.A) and holds an M.B.A. from Fordham University with concentrations in Finance and Quantitative Methods. He is also a member of MENSA.
Jim McLaughlin
President and Partner
Jim McLaughlin is a nationally recognized public opinion expert and strategic consultant. He has worked for over 50 members of Congress, eight U.S. Senators and seven Governors. He also serves as a consultant and research strategist to Fortune 500 companies and small businesses.
Jim's knowledge of cutting-edge market research gives him a unique perspective on opinion research, and how it can be applied to effective political, marketing and communications strategies. His expertise as a former campaign manager gives him special insight on survey research and how it can be parlayed into a key element of a winning campaign. Jim is sought after as a commentator on national television and radio programs and has appeared on NBC News, Fox News Channel, Fox Morning News, CNN, C-SPAN, and The 700 Club. He also is frequently quoted in publications such as The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, The Washington Times, The New York Post, U.S. News and World Report, and Time Magazine.
Stuart Polk
Vice President

Since 1995, Stuart Polk has helped McLaughlin & Associates guide political campaigns to victory and has assisted organizations and corporations develop successful public opinion strategies.
In the 2010 elections, Stuart was the pollster and a consultant for Robert Dold’s primary and general election victories in Illinois 10th congressional district. He managed the polling research for 5 successful National Republican Congressional Committee Independent Expenditure campaigns. In addition, he managed the polling research and consulted for the Indiana Senate Majority Campaign Committee, which successfully won all eleven state senate districts they polled in, including defending seven incumbent seats and picking up four new seats.
In previous election years, Stuart was involved with the successful campaigns of Senator John Warner ('02) Senator George Allen ('00), Speaker of the House Denny Hastert (IL-14) and during the 2000 Republican Primary for President, Stuart was a strategic analyst and director of the polling program for Forbes 2000 (Steve Forbes for President).
In addition to his political experience, Stuart has conducted market research and provided strategy for corporate clients. Some of the organizations and clients that he has been involved with include: Allstate, American Express, Anheuser-Busch, CTIA The Wireless Association, MTV's Choose or Lose, MyWireless.org, and the Ronald S. Lauder Foundation.
Stuart earned his B.A. from Union College in Political Science. He graduated with Honors in Political Science and as a member of Pi Sigma Alpha, the National Political Science Honor Society.
Keith Zeig
Executive Director
Since joining McLaughlin & Associates in 2002, Keith Zeig has been an integral part of McLaughlin & Associates', Keith has participated in numerous corporate and political campaigns.
Keith was involved with the successful federal campaigns of Congressman Eric Cantor (VA-7), Congressman Peter King (NY-3), Congressman Richard Hanna (NY-24), Congressman Mario Diaz-Balart (FL-25), Congressman Mike Rogers (AL-3), and Congressman Robert Aderholt (AL-4). Keith has also worked very closely with the Alabama Republican Party, as well as the National Republican Congressional Committee and the New York State Senate Republican Campaign Committee.
In addition to his political experience, Keith has done public opinion research and strategy for corporate clients such as Verizon Communications, Public Concepts and the New York Jets.
As Executive Director, Keith oversees the day to day operations at McLaughlin & Associates and serves as a liaison to the firm's clientele.
Mr. Zeig attended Ramapo College of New Jersey earning his B.A. in Political Science in 2002 and currently lives in Tappan New York, with his wife Kelli.
Marianne Campbell
Media Director
Marianne Campbell has been associated with McLaughlin & Associates since 1995 and currently serves as Media Director . Ms. Campbell has overseen the placement of over $100 million in political media throughout markets in all fifty states and is responsible for the development of media buying strategy, planning, and placement.
Ms. Campbell has played an integral role in advising a broad list of clients including: Forbes 1996 Campaign and Forbes 2000 Campaign, Republican National Committee, NRSC, NRCC, Nassau County Republicans, Americans for Hope, Growth, & Opportunity, Farmers for Fairness, New York State Conservative Party, New Yorkers for Term Limits, Florida's Working Families, Everglades Forever Partnership, FLorida Sugar Farmers, Florida Phosphate Group, Floridians for Education Reform, People for Integrity in Government, Conference of Presidents, Mike Rogers for Congress, Phil Crane for Congress, Pete King for Congress

Brian Larkin
Director of Qualitative Research
Brian Larkin joined McLaughlin & Associates in 2001 and has risen to become an important asset for our clients and runs McLaughlin & Associates' qualitative research programs. As Director of Qualitative Research, Brian has gained a strong reputation for providing quality focus groups and in-depth research. He has developed in-person and online focus groups for corporate, non-profit and political clients across the United States. Significant research has been conducted bilingually in Spanish and English. Brian is known as an effective and unbiased group moderator and analyst.
Over the years at McLaughlin & Associates, Brian has been involved with campaigns from the local level to the Presidential level. Brian played a key role California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger's special recall election victory in October of 2003, his reelection in 2006 and in his Proposition 57 & Proposition 58 victories in March of 2004. More recently, Brian has worked with the One Campaign, the National Parks Conservation Association and numerous congressional campaigns.
Before joining McLaughlin & Associates, Brian Larkin spent two years working for the National Republican Senatorial Committee, from 1996 - 1998. At the NRSC, Brian worked in the finance department with both low and high dollar donor programs. After working in Washington, Brian came back to New York to work on both statewide and regional political campaigns. Later, Brian took a position with Forbes Magazine. In this position Brian worked to develop the content of the conferences for the Forbes Magazine's Conference Group.
Brian is a 1996 graduate of Wheaton College in Norton, Massachusetts. At Wheaton, he studied Political Science and English Literature.
Margie Fils
Director of Operations
As Director of Operations at McLaughlin & Associates, Margie is located at the company's main office in Blauvelt, NY. She serves as manager for all of the day to day financial activity necessary in maintaining the business dynamics of McLaughlin & Associates. Any financial management decision or question from clients is most often administered by Margie. She is responsible for payroll, accounts receivable and payable. Margie has risen in responsibility and has put her comprehensive administrative management to work for us since 2001.
Before joining McLaughlin & Associates Margie worked for one of the world's largest risk management companies for 14 years.
Margie and her husband Pierre reside in Spring Valley, NY with their three children, Pierre Jr, Adonis and Chontel.
Rob Schmidt
Project Director

Since joining the team in 2011, Rob has been an asset to
McLaughlin & Associates, having already worked on numerous local and
statewide campaigns.
Recently, Rob has been a part of several successful
Congressional campaigns, including, Doug Collins (GA-9), Mike Rogers (AL-3),
Spencer Bachus (AL-6), Bill Young (FL-13) and Richard Hanna (NY-22).
Rob has also worked very closely with the Republican Party
of Florida, the Alabama Republican Party and the Republican State Leadership
Committee, along with various independent expenditure campaign committees.
Corporate and non-profit clients for Rob include Amazon, the
National Association of Manufacturers, Florida Crystals, U.S. Sugar, the Mosaic
Company and Florida Phosphate. In 2012, Rob also worked to help pass Georgia’s
Charter School Amendment and focused extensively on other school choice
initiatives.
Rob holds a B.A. in Political Science from Marist College
and was Marist’s 2011 Baccalaureate recipient for “Excellence in Political
Science.” As an undergraduate, Rob worked in various capacities for the Marist
Institute for Public Opinion. Rob is also a graduate of the Hansard Scholars
Programme, where he served as an intern for a Member of the British Parliament
and attended the London School of Economics and Political Science.
